Deliveroo / Uber Eats / Just Eat Photoshoots

Increase your sales with professional food photography for all your menu items on Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat.

Maximise Your Takeaway Orders with Professional Photography

Professional food photography can help you to maximise your sales with Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat. I offer three out of the box photoshoots that can get you up and running with high quality images for all your menu items.

Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat photoshoots are made up of two key elements. Single dish images and hero images. Single dish images are the informative images that allow the end user to see what they will be receiving. It’s well known that menu items are ordered much more frequently if they have high quality imagery attached to them. Hero images are the first thing your potential customers will see and are key to attracting new customers on delivery platforms such as Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat. These images are created using a selection of your favourite dishes that visually best describe what food and drink you offer.

There are a number of requirements that the three main delivery companies impose in order for your images to be accepted. All my images come with an acceptance guarantee – if your image is rejected due to not meeting the requirements then I will re-shoot it or free.

Single Dishes

Most dishes are shot from 45 degrees to best display the contents of the dish. Some dishes such as pizzas may be shot from above and sandwiches and burgers may be shot from a lower angle to best display them. The images must contain only the dish the customer will receive and no other dishes, cutlery, props or raw ingredients. The dish must correspond exactly to a single item on your menu whether that be a main meal, side dish, drink, starter or even a meal deal.

The Hero Shot

The hero shot is an image of a selection of dishes arranged in an aesthetically pleasing layout. This must be shot from above and must include at least 3 whole dishes. It often works well to fill the gaps in between dishes with sauces and cutlery.

Location Requirements

All I require from you is some space, a surface to shoot on and for the dishes to be prepared on time. I will arrive at the time agreed and will set up my lighting equipment in the first 10-15 minutes. You can choose from a selection of simple backgrounds to place the dishes on or we can use one of the surfaces in your establishment. I will then shoot the single dishes first and the hero shot at the end. It helps if you have a list of the names of each of the single dishes so that we can check these off as we go along.

I bring my own portable studio lighting to ensure consistent high quality results. There is no need to provide a space with good lighting as all the light for the images will come from the studio lights. My lights and camera are battery powered so I am even able to work in areas where there are no easy to reach plug sockets. However, if there is a plug socket nearby it helps as I am then able to shoot tethered to my laptop which allows you to see the images on a bigger screen during the shoot.

Images Optimised and Exported for All Platforms

All images are optimised for use on each delivery platform. Each platform has their own technical requirements for the images so when I deliver the images to you, I provide three different versions so that you have the images ready to upload for each delivery platform with ease.

Frequently Asked Questions

When I arrive, it normally takes about 10-15 minutes for me to setup my lighting equipment and camera so depending on the time it takes to prepare your meals you can either prepare them in advance or wait until I arrive if the dishes do not take long to prepare. The food does not need to be hot for the photographs, but it must look the same as the customer would receive it normally.

It is entirely your choice as to which dishes you choose for the shoot. My recommendation is to choose a variety of dishes. It would be wise to include any signature dishes that are unique to your establishment. It also works well if you choose a selection of starters, mains and side dishes if possible in your selection. Another consideration should be the colour of your dishes. Colourful dishes work well especially when it comes to the hero shot so try to avoid all the dishes being the same colour if possible.

The shoot takes place at your premises unless there is no suitable space to shoot in. If there is no space to shoot in then I am able to collect the food and shoot the dishes off site.

All you need to provide is the food and a suitable surface and space to shoot in. I can provide plain white plates if required and will bring a selection of simple backdrops for you to choose from if the table surface is not be suitable.

Yes, absolutely. Included in the price of your shoot is a lifetime unlimited usage license for all the images. This means you can use the images for any purpose including advertising and promotional materials with no extra charges.

No, I bring my own portable studio lighting which allows me to provide consistent high quality results regardless of the light in the space I am shooting in.
